What We Ask
The main question is:
“How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?”
You can choose from:
-
Extremely likely
-
Likely
-
Neither likely nor unlikely
-
Unlikely
-
Extremely unlikely
-
Don’t know
There is also a space to add comments. These are very helpful for spotting what works well and what we can improve.
What is the FFT?
The Friends and Family Test is a national NHS programme. It gives patients a simple way to feed back on their care and helps the NHS improve services. GP practices ask the question after appointments and collect comments each month.
Who Can Take Part?
-
Anyone who uses our services can give feedback at any time.
-
Carers, parents, or guardians can respond on behalf of a patient.
-
It’s optional – your care will not be affected if you choose not to respond.
Is it Anonymous?
Yes – you can respond without giving your name. If you choose to include details that identify you, we will keep them safe. Please don’t include anything you don’t want us to read.
Our Results
In 2025 our combined results are as follows (based on over 2,000 surveys)
-
Extremely likely to recommend (50%)
-
Likely to recommend (25%)
-
Neither likely nor unlikely (13%)
-
Unlikely (5%)
-
Extremely unlikely (3%)
-
Don’t know (5%)
We view these results as positive as only 8% of the over 2,000 patients surveyed would be unlikely or extremely unlikely to recommend us to their friends and family. Encouragingly, 75% of our patients would be either likely or extremely likely to recommend us.
There is certainly room for improvement and we will continue to monitor results and look for ways to implement patient feedback so that our services can improve over time.
Here are the results month by month:
How We Use Your Feedback
We review feedback every month and discuss it at team meetings. We look for patterns so we can fix problems and share good practice.
We use your feedback to:
-
Spot issues quickly (e.g. long waits or phone access)
-
Thank staff when you tell us they did well
-
Plan improvements and check they are working
You Said, We Did
We regularly update this with actions we’ve taken based on feedback.
Privacy and Data Use
We follow NHS rules to keep your information safe. FFT responses are mainly used to understand patient experience and improve services. We publish overall results but not names. If you include personal details in a comment, we will keep them confidential.
Need a Response?
The FFT is for general feedback and is usually anonymous. If you need a reply to a concern or want to make a complaint, please contact us directly so we can help.
