What is Patchs and how does it work?

Patchs helps you contact your GP practice by completing a form on the internet. It’s quicker and easier than using a telephone. Read more about the  benefits of using Patchs here.
Just answer a few simple questions and Patchs will get you the help you need quickly.

All appointment requests are triaged by a GP who selects the most clinically appropriate appointment, with the most suitable healthcare professional.

We understand that some appointments require more urgent attention than others, which is why we’ve categorised them into three categories: urgent (same day), within 1 week, or routine (within 4 weeks). This will help us to manage our appointments more efficiently and effectively, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely and appropriate manner.

To help improve patient flow and to ensure that we can provide timely care, we’re asking our patients to fill in our online consultation service, PATCHS. This service is designed to help us understand your needs better and provide you with the most appropriate care possible. The more information you provide during the triage process, the better we can navigate your care and make sure you are seen most appropriately.

PATCHS is available for requests Monday – Friday. Please be advised that you need to register for an account before you can submit a request. A step-by-step guide on how to register can be found at the reception desk if you need assistance.

*Please note that we are unable to action any requests if you are out of the country*

Patchs Telephone Assistant

At West Wirral Group Practice we are always seeking ways to enhance your experience and provide seamless healthcare. We’re thrilled to introduce the Patchs Telephone Assistant, which is designed to make your access to our GP surgery more efficient and less time-consuming.

What is the Patchs Telephone Assistant?

The Patchs Telephone Assist

ant allows you to telephone us without the hassle of waiting in long phone queues. You leave a voice message detailing your request and without needing to wait to speak to a receptionist.

How does it work?

– Call the Practice: Dial our usual telephone number.

– Choose the Option: Select the Patchs Telephone Assistant.

– Answer a few questions: Tell the system a few details such as your date of birth and name so it can identify you.

– Leave Your Message: Describe your medical request or concern.

– We Take Over: We review your message and get back to you as soon as possible.

How does this help you?

· Quick: You don’t have to wait on hold.

· Easy: Just answer a few simple questions using your voice.

· Accessible: Ideal for those who find online platforms challenging.

We are excited about this new service and believe it will greatly enhance your experience with us.
